Yahoo Enters a New Era on the Internet

[ad_1]

Yahoo is turning the page and entering all new chartered waters. For the first time they have someone new in charge with running Yahoo, Carol Bartz as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Ms. Bartz is best known through out Silicon Valley for her no-nonsense leadership and a clear company direction, something Yahoo has lacked during their three year slump.

Ms Bartz comes to Yahoo from software maker AutoDesk Inc. Yahoo have been searching for a CEO a couple of months now after the companies co-founder Jerry Yang stepped down.

Headquarters for Yahoo Inc. are located in Sunnyvale, California (Silicon Valley). Over the last few months buyout bids from Google and Microsoft fell through, much to the dislike from Yahoo’s many investors.

Ms Bartz’s expertise has been to build on the companies strengths while implementing systems to defuse any weaknesses. Her success has always comes from her strong work ethic of doing what’s best for the company.

Jerry Yang along with David Filo founded Yahoo in January of 1994. Traffic to Yahoo’s web pages is the second most visited website in the United States and is still considered number one in traffic visitors world wide.

AutoDesk showed terrific revenue and profit growth under Carol Batrz’s leadership. She was with Auto the company 17 years and CEO from 1992 until 2006 when she stepped down to become the executive chairman.

I am sure the Yahoo shareholders are excited with Carol Bartz joining the company, and finally moving forward with a new vision and a bright future for Yahoo Inc.
